Anti Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam - An Awareness Campaign
11 December 2004
Shahid Ahmad Kamal, 38 years old who had been born in a staunch Ahmadi family from India have quit the Jamaat. According to Ummat news he was delegated the task of preaching Ahmadiyyat to college/university students. He made his announcement at the local mosqueFollowing is the text of his statement and letter to Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Khalifa of Ahmadiyya Movement.
Statement released at the Announcement
I, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, son of Mubarak Ahmad (May Allah rest his soul), aged 38 years, resident of Fulham, London, wish to declare that I was born into Ahmadiyyat, and that I was raised and grew with Ahmadiyyat as my belief, and was involved with the activities of Jamaat Ahmadiyya on an ongoing basis. My involvement raised many questions and doubts in my mind.
For this reason I embarked on a period of study, prayer and research, which has been ongoing for at least a year, but which intensified dramatically in the last three months, since the start of the recent blessed month of Ramadan; to the point where I was reading two to three hundred pages, often much more, of varying texts a day.
I have come to the conclusion that many of Jamaat Ahmadiyya’s concepts and principles are not according to the teachings of Islam and that in some respects, this jamaat actually stands in opposition to Islam.
I wish to declare that I have today dissolved my relationship with Jamaat Ahmadiyya and have detached myself from its teachings.
I am happy and proud to declare that I am now a true Muslim; that I believe that The Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the last Prophet of Allah and that anyone who claims prophet hood thereafter is not on the right path. I am certain that my Ahmadi relatives and friends will be upset with my decision, but I also believe that if they contemplate my decision sincerely, they will respect it.
Once I was satisfied with my decision that the principles and concepts of Jamaat Ahmadiyya are incorrect, I detached myself from them and ended my association with them. I am ready to face any consequences this may lead to, but my decision will stay the same forever, inshaAllah.
I pray from the bottom of my heart for my children, family, friends and other Ahmadis that Allah gives them the courage and the strength to find the right path - and that they leave the group of people who collect money in the name of a self-professed prophet and a man-made religion. I will also pray for them to come and join the right religion as prescribed by the Qur’an and Sunnah. If Allah gives me the opportunity, I will endeavour to relay more on the subject of my departure, including its public nature, and my embracing of Islam in a larger document.
Last but not least, I would like to thank all the Muslim brothers and sisters who helped me by providing material to engage in my own research and thus become a true Muslim. Hidayah is from Allah alone, but it appears He uses good people to further His Final Message to humanity.
Wassalam,
Shahid Kamal Ahmad

Dear Mr. Masroor Ahmad Sahib,
I am writing to advise you that after a lifetime in Jamaat Ahmadiyya, I am terminating my membership with immediate effect.
As you might imagine, this was not an easy decision and I didn’t arrive at it without much deliberation.
I have thought, prayed, studied and meditated for a long time, after much doubt, and despite my service to the jamaat, and the history of service in my family to the jamaat, I came to the conclusion that Jamaat Ahmadiyya is not on the right path.
In order to save my soul, I am proud to declare that I am Muslim. I solemnly witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I also witness that Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Sallalaho Alayhi Wassalam was the Last Prophet of Allah and that the Holy Qur’an was the Last Revelation from Allah to mankind.
I humbly invite you, and all of Jamaat Ahmadiyya, to follow the path of the Holy Prophet, his family and his Rightly Guided Companions in the service of Islam and to reject any idea that splits the Ummah into sects.
I pray to Allah that inshaAllah; all Ahmadis will receive the hidayah from Allah Almighty to follow the right path. Ameen.
Wassalam,
Shahid Kamal Ahmad
cc. Mr. M.A. Rasheed, President, North London Jamaat
We congratulate Mr Shahid for his bold decision, welcome him back to the fold of Islam and pray to Allah to shower His blessings on him and keep him steadfast on Islam. We also pray that may Allah show the right path to other members of his family in particular and other Ahmadis/Qadianis in general. Ameen.
Wassalam
